Geauga Lyric Theater Guild concludes its summer youth programming with “A Salute to America” at the Geauga Theater, 101 Water St. in Chardon.

The youth cast, ages 7- 13 years old, participated in the mini musical workshop program that included a field trip to Lawnfield, the home of President James A. Garfield, weekly sessions on basic theater skills and show related art projects. The play centers on Uncle Sam’s efforts to organize the iconic American symbols into a parade to celebrate America. Witty dialogue, clever lyrics and catchy tunes including sing-alongs of popular patriotic songs will entertain and educate the audience.

The performance is open to the public and is dedicated to veterans and military personal and their families. City workers were also invited to attend as they serve the community as well.

Light refreshments will be served after the show. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated and used to continue GLTG educational programs.
