The Geauga Arts Network Group (GANG) welcomes abstract artist Mary Ann Sedivy to its monthly meeting at the Heinen’s Café, 402 Center St. in Chardon. She will present examples of her work and discuss her technique and artistic journey. Her works can be viewed at www.maryannsedivy.com.

The educational event is free and open to the public. No reservations are necessary.

Benefit Choir Recruiting Voices

The Good Tidings Benefit Choir is recruiting voices for the 29th annual free holiday concert for the Geauga Hunger Task Force.

Practices start Oct. 14 for the first section on Handel’s “Messiah” plus other Christmas music at the Sisters of Notre Dame Chapel, 13000 Auburn Road in Munson Township, and will be held Sundays from 2-4 p.m.

The choir is open to high school students and older. Bring a copy of the score or there will be copies available for approximately $8. Solo auditions will take place during the practices. The Christmas programs are Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 2 at 3 p.m.
