Valley Arts Center hosts the 36th annual Art by the Falls, a free two-day, outdoor juried fine arts and contemporary crafts festival, at Riverside Park in Chagrin Falls.

Valley Arts Center hosts the 36th annual Art by the Falls, a free two-day, outdoor juried fine arts and contemporary crafts festival, at Riverside Park in Chagrin Falls. The show features approximately 120 painters, potters, jewelers, wood workers, fiber artists and other fine craftspeople. Event also includes live music, entertainment, demonstrations, a children’s tent and food trucks. The non-profit village area assembles local and regional organizations to share their resources. Purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win original works of art donated by every artist in the park.

The event is free and open to the public. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Fairmount Center Speaker Series

June 13, 7 p.m.

Fairmount Center for the Arts will hold its fifth in its lineup of speaker series with “Monet.” Art historian Felicia Zavarella Stadelman has presented her “Through the Eyes of the Artist” lecture series for several years. Get an insider’s view of the stories behind the art of Monet.

The free, community event will be held at the center located at 8400 Fairmount Road in Russell Township. The series is designed for adults, but is family-friendly. Refreshments are provided.
