Geauga Lyric Theater Guild (GLTG) kicks off its 65th season - A Season of Adventure - with its Skip Kelley Youth Production of Disney's hit Broadway show, “Newsies.” Performances on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Geauga Lyric Theater Guild (GLTG) kicks off its 65th season – A Season of Adventure – with its Skip Kelley Youth Production of Disney’s hit Broadway show, “Newsies.” Performances on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors and $10 for youth 12 and under and are available at geaugatheater.org or by calling 440-286-2255.
The historic Geauga Theater is located at 101 Water St. in Chardon.

GANG Welcomes Eclectic Multimedia Artist

Aug. 20, 6:30-8 p.m.

The Geauga Arts Network Group (GANG) welcomes eclectic multimedia artistMonique LaFortune to its monthly meeting held at the Heinen’s Café, 402 Center St. in Chardon.

LaFortune will be presenting examples of her unusual pieces that she has created using a wide variety of repurposed and found objects and materials. Participants will have an opportunity to create their own artworks.

The educational program is free and open to the public

Rep 440 Co. Auditions

Aug. 25 and 26, 6:30-9 p.m.
Curtain 440 is holding auditions for the second Rep 440 Company at Chardon Tomorrow, 119 Main St., Chardon.

The Rep 440 Co. is open to ages 13-19. Six shows are performed throughout the school year. Company members are guaranteed three shows as actors upon acceptance. All shows are directed by Angela Miloro-Hansen.

Arrive by 7:30 p.m. Auditions will consist of reading from the scripts. Bring a list of shows one is available for and all known conflicts for the rehearsals.
Auditioners are encouraged to attend both audition nights, but it is not required. A parent signature will be needed for those under 18.
