Geauga Lyric Theater Guild announces a variety of arts classes starting in January. Opportunities in performing, movement and visual arts classes include: Dance for Musical Theater, Acting with Your Whole Being, Harmony Hooping, Beginning Hand Sewing, Backstage Crew Workshop and The Homeschooler’s Guide to The Wonderful World of Theater.

Fairmount Center Open House
Jan. 11, 10 a.m. to noon
Fairmount Center for the Arts hosts its Winter Warm-Up Open House at the center located at 8400 Fairmount Road in Russell Township. The open house is free and open to the community.
Children of all ages through adults can enjoy mini-workshops and performances in dance, art, music, theatre and storytelling and then warm up with hot cocoa and sweet treats.
Visitors will also learn about Fairmount’s winter and spring classes, workshops and special programs ranging from one to 16 weeks long in visual arts, dance, music, theatre and fitness for all ages and ability levels. Winter/spring session begins Jan. 13.
