The Kiwanis Club of Chardon awarded its 2016 scholarships at a meeting held July 7 at the Deep Woods Pavilion in Big Creek Park. The recipients, who were all seniors at Chardon High School or home schooled, are Bryn Griffin Farinacci, Jessica Rayl, Courtney Kernc, Nella Cordon and Laurel Grae.
The scholarships that Kiwanis Club of Chardon awards each year are made possible through various activities, which include the sale of maple syrup products all year, a corn roast September, an annual trivia night in the November and other events.
