GOP Women’s Spaghetti Dinner

Feb. 3, 5-7:30 p.m.

The Geauga County Women’s Republican Club will host their annual all-you-can eat spaghetti and meatball dinner at Munson Town Hall, 12200 Auburn Road. Cost is $12 for adults and free for children.

Pancakes at Hambden Grange

Feb. 5, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Hambden Grange 2482 is serving an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast with maple syrup, corn fritters, fruit, sausage, juice, cocoa and coffee at 9778 Old State Road.

Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under.

Newbury Kiwanis Pancakes

Newbury Area Kiwanis Club is having its all-you-can-eat pancake breakfasts every Sunday in February at Newbury High School from 8:30 am to 12:30 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Proceeds benefit local children and families in need.

Four Chaplains Program

Feb. 5, 3 p.m.

The Burton-Middlefield American Legion will host a Four Chaplains program at the Atwood-Mauck Post 459, 14052 Goodwin St. in Burton. The program is open to the public.

Chardon City Dems Meet

Feb. 7, 7 p.m.

The Chardon City Democrats invite Chardon residents to attend their next meeting at the Heritage House on Chardon Square.

Agenda includes a discussion on ways to organize support in the city for the Democratic Party in the coming year.

There are no admission fees or membership requirements. Any member of the public interested in supporting the Democratic Party within the City of Chardon is welcome to attend.

Swiss Steak Dinner

Feb. 10, 4-6:30 p.m.

Auburn Community Church, 11076 Washington St. in Auburn Township, will host a Swiss steak dinner and bake sale. Tickets are $11 for adults and $5 for children 5-10 years. Children under 5 are admitted free. Proceeds will go towards the purchase of a new electronic sign for the church.

LGRC Alumni Valentine’s Dinner Dance

Feb. 10, 7 p.m. to midnight

Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers Alumni Association is hosting its third annual Valentine’s Day dinner dance at Fairport Harbor Senior Center, 1380 East St., Fairport Harbor. Event includes a pasta dinner, dancing and 50-50 raffle.

VFW Pancake Breakfasts

KOC Pancake Breakfast

St. Mary of Chardon Knights of Columbus will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon at St. Mary Church, 401 North St., Chardon.

Aububon Highlights Native Bees

Feb. 21, 7 p.m.

Blackbrook Audubon, the local chapter of the Audubon Society covering Geauga, Lake and Ashtabula counties, will hold a program on bee identification and appreciation at Penitentiary Glen, 8668 Kirtland-Chardon Road in Kirtland. Speaker Denise Ellsworth, of Ohio State University, will focus on the biology of Ohio’s most common bees and describe their importance in pollination.

Geauga Market Annual Meeting

Feb. 25, 1 p.m.

Geauga Fresh Farmers’ Market will hold its 2017 annual planning meeting at the South Russell Village Hall, 5205 Chillicothe Road. Local vegetable and fruit farmers, other local vendors, and artisans are welcome to attend. A pizza lunch will be provided. Applications will be available at the meeting.

The market will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays at the South Russell Village Hall parking lot from May 6 through Oct. 14.

Volunteers are also needed to help at the market and are welcome to attend the meeting. Volunteers help with parking and special events.

Munson Indoor Flea Market

Munson Township will hold an indoor flea market at the Munson Town Hall and Fire Station Bay, 12210 Auburn Road.

CCAT Lebron Shoe Raffle

The Chardon Community Action Team is raffling an authentic LeBron James practice shoe provided by the LeBron James Foundation.

Tickets will be sold at all home Chardon High School boys basketball games through Feb. 18. The raffle will be held during the last game.

Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. The winner of the raffle need not be present at the last game to win.

All monies raised will be spent to support the mission CCAT to lower tobacco, alcohol, and drugs in our youth.
