Chardon High School Envirothon Team Red placed second in the annual State Envirothon held June 13-14 at Bowling Green State University.

The Chardon team demonstrated its knowledge and determination for excellence as 20 teams from throughout Ohio competed at the state level.

Team Red members, under the guidance of Envirothon advisor Marilyn Rohr, include Madison Brady, Nicholas Schragal, Michael Ricci, Emily Munoz and Asher Vokoun. The team won an award prize of $200.

Congratulations to Chardon High School in its outstanding performance.

This year’s North American competition under the National Conservation Foundation will be July 24-29, hosted by Forests Ontario, Trent University, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District congratulates Chardon Red Team members on their knowledge and dedication to become stewards of the land.
