Cardinal S.A.F.E. After Prom is holding a Scotch Doubles at Ernst Lanes in Chardon on March 8 at 8 p.m. The cost is $40 a couple and includes three games of bowling, shoes, pizza, pop and cash bar.

Huskies March Madness

Cardinal Athletic Boosters will hold a Huskies March Madness 3 on 3 Tournament March 16 starting at 5 p.m. at Cardinal Middle School.

Cost is $5 per player for three to four player teams.

Geauga Consumer Connection

The Geauga Consumer Connection is May 8 at the Middlefield Market House on Nauvoo Road. It is a showcase of businesses throughout Geauga County collected in one spot to showcase the products and services available.

This event is currently being organized. Interested businesses may contact Lynnette at the Middlefield Chamber of Commerce at 440-632-5705 to register and to find out more information on becoming part of this annual expo.

It is geared to give direct contact by consumers to county businesses, where people can meet and talk, have questions answered, and discover what area businesses offer. The event is free to the public.

World Day of Prayer

All women of all churches are invited to celebrate World Day of Prayer on March 1 at Huntsburg Congregational Church, 12435 Madison Road.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with a delicious breakfast. The program is “I was a stranger and you welcomed me,” written by the women of France.

Please bring non-perishables for the food bank.

Grange Chili Cook-Off, Auction

The Huntsburg Grange Chili Cook-Off and Chinese auction takes place March 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Huntsburg gym behind the fire station. The event also features a cake walk, live band, guest vendors, 50/50 raffle and afghan raffle.

Come and enjoy lunch, buy a sampler pack, taste all the chilies and vote for “People’s Choice” winner. Purchase tickets for the Chinese auction that has some great prizes.

Funds raised will be used for community projects, such as rebuilding the historic band stand, supporting local families in need, flag pole area beautification, USO and other military contributions.

Chamber Meeting March 12

The Middlefield Chamber of Commerce will meet at noon March 12 in the community room located upstairs in the Middlefield Fire Department. Mayor Ben Garlich will give the State of the Village Address.
