Members of the Breeders and Feeders Geauga County 4–H Club have been busy the last few months. Members are taking care of the project animals they already have and excited to add their poultry projects in the coming weeks. Although it is only spring, the Great Geauga County Fair is less than four months away.
The 4-H pledge points out the importance of service to the community. The club’s community service officer, Hailey Taylor, organizes a project or group to support each month. In the past members have collected items for the YMCA, veterans and multiple animal rescue organizations. For holidays, members make cards that are handed out to Geauga County seniors.
At the March meeting, members completed 12 no-sew blankets that will be handed out to veterans in the fall. Hailey was recognized with an award for community service earlier this year.
The next meeting was scheduled for May 17 at Munson Town Hall at 2 p.m. (Submitted)
