Flockmasters
Flockmasters 4-H Club held its meeting on June 11. At the meeting, the 11- and 12-year-olds presented the projects they made to explain things they found interesting or important for the club.
One example of a project was “What’s for Dinner?” by Grayson Cook. For this project, he explained what kinds of table scraps were and were not OK to feed chickens. The presentation was helpful to the club because now members can now give their chickens leftover foods while ensuring the chicken’ lives are not at risk.
Flockmasters will hold its next club meeting on July 9.
Granny’s Kids
At the June 21 meeting of the Granny’s Kids 4-H Club, members learned about goats and sheep from Samantha. They were taught how to exercise and even show them. Then, members heard three amazing reports. Celine talked about turkey safety, Yuna taught members more about goat health, and Lily taught the group about hedgehog health.(Submitted by Karolen Stoltz, news reporter)
