Fireworks Canceled
The Chardon Area Fireworks, a nonprofit organization that solicits support each year from the Chardon business community for its Independence Day fireworks celebration, has made the difficult decision to not put on its show at Chardon High School on July 3 as originally planned.
Informal inquiries to several annual supporters, businesses and the City of Chardon have indicated that it would be difficult to obtain the needed funding for the event. The plan is to bring back the celebration next year.
