Fantasticks Opens at GLTG
The world’s longest running musical, performing off-Broadway for 42 years, opens the Geauga Lyric Theater’s 60th season on Sept. 12. Directed by J.E. Ballantyne and with music direction by John Krol, excitement is building among the cast and crew. Producer Mark Miloro thinks there is something for everyone in this production.
“The Fantasticks” is kind of a 1960s fairy tale. Star-crossed young lovers Luisa (Katie Malish) and Matt Hucklebee (Matt Gittens) struggle with parental interference and a host of strange happenings.
Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 p.m.; Sunday performances are at 2 p.m. The show runs through Sept. 28.
Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, and a special rate of $10 for children ages 12 and under.
It is not too late to get a season pass. Receive a free $10 concession card with every regular season pass purchased by Sept. 13.
