Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP

The Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP 4527 meets the first Tuesday of every month at 1 p.m. at the Bainbridge Town Hall, 17826 Chillicothe Road. The next meeting is Oct. 1.

Guest speaker Dave Leoko, Geauga Countys senior center supervisor, will show a promotional video and hold a question and answer time to advise all seniors what services are available to them. Everyone is welcome.

A brief meeting will include a discussion of upcoming programs and trips followed by desserts and coffee.

The group is still collecting food, school supplies and paper products for the Food For Friends food pantry, plastic bottle caps for cancer, box tops for education for the schools, pillowcases and thread to make dresses for the little girls in Africa and personal items and snacks for the USO.

Novembers meeting will be Nov. 12, one week late due to the election on Nov. 5.

Elected Officials Day: Oct. 2, 11 a.m. Come meet some local elected officials. Before lunch, the seniors will challenge them to a friendly game of Wits and Wagers; whichever team loses will serve lunch to the winners.

Elected Officials Day: Oct. 2, 11:30 a.m. Come meet some of the elected officials from around the county as they spend a few hours volunteering at the senior center.

Site Meeting: Oct. 2, 12:30 p.m. Seniors have an opportunity to go over current events and plan for upcoming ones. Open to any senior.

Rescue Village: Oct. 3. The group will get a personal tour and listen to a speaker about the inner workings of Rescue Village. The group will meet there at 10:45 a.m. and go out to lunch immediately following.
