Beauty and the Beast at GLTG

Beauty and the Beast, the Geauga Lyric Theater Guild’s elementary workshop production, takes the stage July 25-27.

In this original adaptation by Angela Miloro-Hansen, audiences will delight in the familiar story of a girl who must teach a beast how to love in order to become human again. With comedic additions and a group of talented young actors, this is sure to be a hit.

Performances are Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m.

GLTG Annual Meeting, Elections

Geauga Lyric Theater Guilds annual meeting and elections will be held on Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. at Geauga Theater, 101 Water St. in Chardon.

The guild is seeking board members to support the operation and oversight of the theater, business of the guild and participate in and contribute to the financial well-being of the Geauga Lyric Theater Guild. Board members are required to attend the monthly board meeting, serve on a committee of the guild as well as support the guild through service and charitable giving.

Anyone wishing to run for a trustee position should send a letter of intent to the business office at 106 Water St. Chardon by July 28, along with membership form. A letter and membership form may be mailed to GLTG, P.O. Box 834, Chardon, OH 44024, but they must be received by 5 p.m. July 28, not postmarked by that day. One must be a current member to vote or run for a trustee position.
