St. Mary’s Parish Festival
July 7-9
The fourth annual St. Mary’s Parish Festival will feature live band performances, a casino, rides, homemade foods, beverages, dancing, entertainment and games for all ages. There will be a grand prize raffle for $7,500, raffle basket and handmade quilt raffle.
A full fireworks display will take place on Saturday at 10:30 p.m.

Geauga Bowmen Archery
July 8 & 9
Cookout and Archery Fun Challenge is Saturday, with registration from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday, with registration from 8 a.m. to noon, at Geauga Bowmen Archery Club, 12525 Sperry Road in Chester Township.
All shoots are open to the public with equipment available free of charge. All classes and bow types are welcome.
Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for cubs. Food and refreshments available.
The 50/50 Queen of Hearts Novelty Shoot pot carries over from June. Gun raffle tickets are available.

Chardon VFW 6519 Events
Wednesdays in July, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Chardon VFW Post 6519 will host Taco Wednesdays every Wednesday in July from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Enjoy soft or hard tacos for $1 each or taco salad for $2.
It will also host summertime happy hours Monday through Friday from 2-5 p.m. Enjoy discounted beer, wine and specialty drinks. See the canteen staff for information.
Chamber Open House

Join for the annual open house on the lawn of the Middlefield Chamber of Commerce Office located at 16014 E. High St. Middlefield. Refreshments will be catered by Olde Towne Grille. Stop in to meet Chamber members, find out about becoming a member and learn about upcoming events.

Concert on Thompson Twp. Square
July 11, 7-8:30 p.m.
The Thompson Township Summer Entertainment Committee presents Erin Burke, a local singer and songwriter with a bluesy soulful voice inspired from her country roots.
The concert is free; lawn chairs are recommended and refreshments by donation will be provided by the Thompson Garden Club.
The Geauga County Library Fun Bus will be making a stop. In case of rain, the concert will be held in the Thompson United Methodist Church.
Concert In The Park
July 12, 7-9 p.m.
The first concert of the 34th summer concert series features the Lenny Russo Band performing at the gazebo in Chester Township Parkside Park.
Free popcorn will be provided along with pop and water at nominal prices.

Munson Community Day Picnic
July 15, noon
Munson Township’s annual Community Day Picnic will be held, rain or shine, at the town hall, 12210 Auburn Road. A fun day is planned for the entire family with a light picnic lunch, food vendors, music, Euclid Beach Rocket Car rides, rock climbing wall, raffles, games and activities.
Huntsburg Grange Concert
July 15, 6 p.m.
Fort Huntsburg Band will perform at the Huntsburg Grange concert in the bandstand at the corner of routes 322 and 528. There will be international food and a church bake sale.

Concert in Claridon Park
July 18, 7 p.m.
The Great Geauga County Fair band will be performing in Claridon Township Park on the corner of Mayfield and Claridon Troy roads.
A Claridon Community Helps will provide a community picnic dinner before the concert from 5:30-7 p.m.

Lake Health Auxiliary Fundraising Sale
July 19, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Lake Health Auxiliary is hosting a large summer gift shop sale to benefit the auxiliary. Sales held in the lobby at TriPoint Medical Center, 7590 Auburn Road, Concord and West Medical Center, 36000 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.

Geauga Dems Discuss the Judicial Branch
July 20
The Geauga County Democratic Party will host its monthly hot topic event at the Geauga County Democratic Headquarters and Social Hall located at 12420 Kinsman Road, Newbury.
Doors open at 6:15 p.m. for networking and desserts and hot topic begins at 7 p.m.
Judge Terri Stupica and the Honorable Mary Jane Trapp will present “Changing Faces and Cases – Elections Matter When it Comes to the Judicial Branch, Too!” They will discuss recent and future Supreme Court decisions and the crisis of opioids and heroin on local court systems. Participants will learn the importance of judicial races and the check and balances it provides over the other two branches of government.

Divine Word Rummage Sale

Divine Word Church is holding a rummage sale at 8100 Eagle Road in Kirtland. CV Herb Society Field Trip

The Chagrin Valley Herb Society will take a field trip to Kent State Draime Estate Gardens in Warren to have a guided tour of the diverse garden designs and sculptures. Reservations are required and the fee is $10.

Happy Tails Benefit
July 22, 5-8 p.m.
A benefit to raise funds for Happy Tails Cat Sanctuary and celebrate “35 Years of Rescue” will take place at the American-Croatian Lodge, 34900 Lakeshore Blvd in Eastlake.
Registration begins at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person and will be held at the door.
The event includes a family-style at 6 p.m. and access to a silent auction and raffles. A cash only bar will be available for alcoholic beverages.

It’s a Baby Life Run
July 23
LIFE Runners International is sponsoring a 5K/10K LIFE run and 1-mile walk to support Birthright Geauga. The race begins from the Birthright Geauga plaza parking lot located at 209 Center St., Chardon.

Flea Market Vendors Wanted
Auburn Community Church, 11076 Washington St., is hosting an outdoor flea market Aug. 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rain date is Aug. 12.
Vendors and individuals wanting to have a garage sale are encouraged to participate. Spaces are 25 feet wide and deep enough for tables as well as two standard-sized vehicles. Vendors must furnish their tables and chairs and to clean out the site at end of sale. Cost is $25 per space.
