200th Celebration

July 14, 10 am to 6 pm
The Century Inn is 200 years old. Join in the celebration with food, fun, guided history tours, genealogy station, Amish history, family heirlooms, Chinese auction, T-shirts, vendors, Amish bake sale, barrel train rides, coloring pages, extended hours at The Depot. Middlefield Historical Society is located at 14979 South State Ave. in Middlefield Village.

Huntsburg Grange Concert

July 14, 6-8 p.m.

Fort Huntsburg Keepin-It-Country banfd will perform at the Huntsburg bandstand located at the intersection of state routes 322 and 528 Sponsored by Huntsburg Grange, the free community event includes international food, church bake sale and 50/50 raffle. A food collection will be taken for Veterans-In-Need. Huntsburg Museum will be open.

Dinner and Concert

July 17, 5:30 p.m.

Claridon Congregational Church hosts the Great Geauga County Fair Band. The concert begins at 7 p.m. in the park on the corner of Claridon Troy and Mayfield roads.

Claridon Community Helps will be providing a picnic dinner from 5:30-7 p.m. for everyone and the church will be providing strawberry shortcake for dessert.

All donations collected will be donated to the Claridon Congregational Church.

CV Herb Society Meets

July 20, 12:30 p.m.

The Chagrin Valley Herb Society will meet in the Bainbridge Library Garden on for a culinary herb picnic potluck. Bring a lawn chair; table service will be provided. Let Beth know what herb enhanced dish you will bring. Following lunch we will reconvene at a local garden (TBA).

Free Community Breakfast

July 21, 8:30-10:30 a.m.

Ledgewood Christian Church is hosting its free monthly community breakfast at the church located at 8261 Kinsman Road in Russell Township.

The menu includes pancakes, sausage, salmon patties, juice, coffee and tea. Ample parking is available in front and to the rear of the church building. All are welcome.

It’s A Baby Life Run

July 22

The Chardon chapter of LIFE Runners is offering a 5K and 10K run at 8 a.m. and 1-mile fun run or walk at 8:15 a.m. to support Birthright Geauga, Inc. The race begins from the Birthright Geauga plaza parking lot located at 209 Center St., Chardon.

11th Annual Dice Run

July 28

Chardon Post 6519 will host the 11th annual Dice Run. Sign-up begins at 10 a.m. at the Chardon Post, 752 Water St. Bikes depart from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and last bike in is at 4 p.m.

Complimentary snacks will be provided with a cash bar at each stop. All stops are VFW or American Legion posts.

Donation is $20 per rider and $5 per passenger. Event includes 50/50, pull tabs and doors prizes.

Entrepreneur Success Breakfast

Geauga Growth Partnership’s Entrepreneur Success Breakfast features Bill Weber, owner of Arborwear in Bainbridge Township.

Learn his story as an arborist turned innovator who turned ill fitting canvas work pants into wearables that have a wide following.

The event begins with networking and a light breakfast at 7:30 a.m. followed by a program from 8-9 a.m. at Kent State University Geauga, 14111 Claridon Troy Road in Burton.

HomeGrown Geauga

Tickets are now on sale for Geauga Growth Partnership’s sixth annual HomeGrown Geauga fundraising event at ASM International, 9639 Kinsman Road in Russell Township.

The evening features food, spirits, music, silent auction, raffles and homegrown entertainment.

Vendors Sought For Arts Fair

Nov. 10, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Auburn Firedevils, auxiliary to the Auburn Volunteer Fire Department, is hosting its sixth annual arts, crafts and consultants fair at Adams Halls, 11455 Washington St., Auburn Township.

The group is seeking vendors for the event. Tables are $25 each. Tables and chairs are provided. There is plenty of parking for vendors and shoppers alike at the facility.
