Ledgewood Christian Church is hosting its free monthly community breakfast at the church located at 8261 Kinsman Road in Russell Township.
The menu includes pancakes, sausage, salmon patties, juice, coffee and tea. Ample parking is available in front and to the rear of the church building. All are welcome.
American Legion Auxiliary Bingo
Sept. 15, 5 p.m.

Woofstock 2018
Sept. 16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Rescue Village’s annual Woofstock festival and fundraiser will be held at Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field. Event features adoptable dogs, live music, parade and best look contest, senior dog Olympics, dog games and contests, blessing of the animals, vendors, food trucks and more.
Admission ranges from $5 to $25. Youth 10 and under are free.

Kiwanis Corn Roast

The Kiwanis Club of Chardon is hosting the 10th annual Corn Roast on Chardon Square. The event features entertainment, a silent auction, sausage sandwiches and fresh corn from Sage’s Apples.
Starting this year, the Corn Roast will be held in conjunction with the Hand Harvest Handmade Market being sponsored by the Chardon Square Association.
All proceeds raised will go to support scholarships and other charitable programs offered by the club.

Audubon Highlights Pawpaw Tree

The Geauga County Democratic Party will host its monthly hot topic -Meet the Candidates Night – at the Geauga County Democratic Headquarters and Social Hall located at 12420 Kinsman Road, Newbury. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. followed by a spaghetti and meatball dinner at 7 p.m. and the hot topic at 7:15 p.m. Suggested donation is $10.
Garrett Westhoven, candidate for auditor; Anita Blue Marlowe, candidate for commissioner; and John Kennedy, candidate for state representative, will speak and answer questions.

A paint your pet fundraiser benefitting the Geauga County Dog Shelter will take placeat Cold Nose Companions Dog Training Center in Chardon. The $80 registration includes a 12-by12-inch canvas pre-sketched with the pet’s photo, quality art instruction from Mary Ann Hagen, a buffet of local food and wine from Sharon James Cellars.

Perennial Gardeners Flower Show

Perennial Gardeners of Chesterland present “Can You Dig It,” a national garden club small standard flower show. The free show that is open to the public, takes place at Geauga West Library, 13455 Chillicothe Road in Chester Township.
Auburn Community Picnic
Sept. 29, 12-6 p.m.
Join for Auburn’s Community Picnic at Auburn Community Park, 17484 Munn Road. There will be community games, cash prizes. Carnival booth games, bounce houses, CLE Bubble Soccer and bingo. Auburn Scout Troop 101 will demonstrate fire starting and rope building. Food and beverage trucks will be on-site. The magic show starts at 1 p.m. and live music by No Moss from 2:30-5:30 p.m.
WomenSafe Fall Luncheon
Oct. 5, 12-3:30 p.m.
WomenSafe, in partnership with Leading Lady, will be hosting the annual fall luncheon, “Imagine YOU in Full Bloom,”at Landerhaven Event Center in Mayfield Heights.
Event includes lunch, silent and Chinese auctions, a fashion show and a vendor area with more than 15 local vendors offering prizes and promotions. Emcee is Grace Roberts from 107.3 The WAVE and music will be provided by DJ Nic Nacc.
