The Democratic Party of Geauga County will host a panel discussion on the many environmental challenges facing Geauga County and Ohio. Hear experts speak about toxic algae blooms in Lake Erie and the need to provide clean, safe drinking water. Learn what is in the Green New Deal and how it might impact Ohio.
A spaghetti dinner will be served. Suggested donation is $13. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Fish Fry in Parkman
April 19, 5:30-7 p.m.
Parkman Congregational Church is hosting a fish fry at the church located at 18265 Madison Road. Cost is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $6 for youth ages 5-10 and free for preschoolers.
All proceeds will be going to support the Geauga Faith Rescue Mission. Good Friday service begins at 7 p.m.

Geauga Bowmen Archery
April 20 and 21
A spring thaw 3-D archery shoot will take place at Geauga Bowmen Archery Club grounds, 12525 Sperry Road in Chester Township. Registration is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday.
All shoots are open to the public and to all archery classes. Food and refreshments are available.
Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for cubs. Youth equipment rental is free.

Free Community Breakfast

Ledgewood Christian Church is hosting its free community breakfast at the church located at 8261 Kinsman Road in Russell Township.
The menu includes pancakes, sausage, salmon patties, juice, coffee and tea. Ample parking is available in the rear of the church building. All are welcome.
Easter Egg Hunt
April 20, 11 a.m.
The fifth annual Chardon Township Easter egg hunt will take place at Chardon Township Park, 9949 Auburn Road. The hunt is for children of walking age to 10 years old.
Bring a basket or bag. There will be prizes for each age group and an appearance by the Easter bunny.
Fellowship EasterBlast

Fellowship Bible Church is hosting “Fellowship EasterBlast” at the Federated Family Life Center, 16349 Chillicothe Road, Bainbridge Township.
The event will include games, inflatables, face-painting, food and an Easter egg hunt with traditional eggs as well as those suitable for children with sensory, auditory and visually impaired developmental delays.

Red Wagon Spring Luncheon

The Christ Child Society of Geauga County is holding its 29th annual Red Wagon Spring Luncheon at St. Noel Party Center in Willoughby Hills. Guest emcee is Jen Harcher, Channel 8 meteorologist.
The Chinese auction and luncheon raffles support the many programs and activities of the Society in its mission to help and serve children at risk in Geauga County for over 30 years.
The luncheon will again feature signature gift baskets, along with spring plants and flowers.

KOC Pancakes

St. Mary of Chardon Knights of Columbus will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon April 28, from 8 a.m. to noon, in the cafeteria at St. Mary Church, 401 North St., Chardon. Auburn Career Center’s Landscape Horticulture spring plant sale will begin April 29 at 10985 Girdled Road, right behind the high school. Sale hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 12-2 p.m. while supplies last.
