The 19th annual benefit auction for D.D.C. Clinic – Center for Special Needs Children will be held at the Buster Miller farm, 17719 Newcomb Road, Middlefield. Breakfast starts at 5:30 a.m.; the auction begins at 9 a.m. Lunch begins at 10:30 a.m.
Bid on quilts, furniture, home decor, tools, horses, buggies, maple syrup, firewood and more, including a 24×32-foot garage built onsite or a 16×20-foot timber frame pavilion.

Browns at Chardon VFW

Enjoy an Italian sausage meal while watching the Cleveland Browns play the Seattle Seahawks at Chardon VFW Post 6519 located at 752 Water St. Doors open at noon for the 1 p.m. kickoff.

Amish Business Etiquette

Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a luncheon at Kent State Geauga. The topic is Amish Business Etiquette. Key presenter Lori Wolfe, a counselor at Ravenwood Health, will be joined by Amish business owner Paul Wengard, who will also share his thoughts and answer questions. Chamber President Jim McClintock will serve as emcee.
Networking and check-in will be from 11:30 am to noon. The program and a buffet lunch catered by Chow Down is from noon to 1 pm. Cost is $20. Reservations are required.

Audubon Highlights Mentor Marsh

Blackbrook Audubon invites the public to hear about the renewal of native plants, birds and other wildlife to the 691-acre Mentor Marsh State Nature Preserve at Penitentiary Glen, 8668 Kirtland-Chardon Road in Kirtland.
Becky Donaldson, a naturalist in the Natural Areas Division of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, will share the science, stories and photographs of the museum’s restoration successes in the “Return of Mentor Marsh Birds and Biodiversity.”

Good Samaritan Dinner

The Burton Congregational Church, UCC, Good Samaritan Dinner will be held at the church on the square in Burton. Cost is $8 for adults, $3 for children 4-11 years old and free for children 3 and under.
Homemade meal consists of chicken sliders, pasta salad, corn chowder, beverage and dessert. Proceeds will go to meet emergency needs of local families.
Chinese Auction
