2016 Immunization Clinics
The Geauga County General Health District offers walk-in immunization clinics for children and adolescents through the age of 18. Residents must present an immunization record as well as a primary insurance card. The following is a list of upcoming immunization clinics:
Middlefield, April 21, St. Lucy Mission, 16280 Kinsman Road, 3-6 p.m.
Troy, April 27, Troy Community Center, 13950 Main Market Road, 9-11:30 a.m.

Monthly Support Groups
Geauga County National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) offers support,
education and advocacy for those affected by mental illness.
Peer Support (for those with mental health issues) meets every Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. at the annex office, 107 South St., Chardon.
Middlefield Peer and Family Support (for those who have an illness or have a loved one with an illness) meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7-8:30 p.m. at the Middlefield Library, 16167 E. High St., Middlefield. The next meeting is April 27.
There is no cost or reservations required for NAMI Geauga support groups. For more information, call the office at 440-286-6264.
Blood Pressure Screenings
Lake Health will offer free blood pressure checks at the Chardon Campus, 510 Fifth Ave., from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
Orthopedics Day
April 30, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
University Hospitals (UH) Geauga Medical Center’s annual Orthopaedics Day will take place at Executive Caterers, 6111 Landerhaven Drive in Mayfield Heights.
The free community educational event will focus on maintaining good joint and back health, along with general orthopaedic care and sports injury prevention. The program features interactive physician panels and a keynote presentation by Dr. Michael Salata, associate orthopedist team physician, The Cleveland Browns, and director of the Joint Preservation & Cartilage Restoration Center, UH Case Medical Center.
Information displays and interactive vendor exhibits will be available. Doors open at 8 a.m.; complimentary breakfast will be provided.

Volunteers Needed
Geauga County National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is in need of volunteers to assist with clerical tasks, program support, board membership, outreach, education facilitators, special events and more. Sign up at its tent at the Geauga County Maple Festival April 21-24.
