Lake Health will offer Senior Con-nection Sept. 24 from noon to 1 p.m. in St. Mary’s banquet hall, 401 North St. in Chardon.
The Lunch and Learn program features a variety of topics dealing with seniors. September’s topic is robot-assisted surgery. Lunch is $2. Registration is required by calling Lake Health’s Best of Health Line at 440-953-6000.
2014 Immunization Clinics
The Geauga County General Health District offers free walk-in immunization clinics for children and adolescents through the age of 18. Residents must present an immunization record as well as a current insurance card. The following is a list of upcoming immunization clinics:

Bloodmobile
American Red Cross blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Donors may give every 56 days and must bring some form of photo identification and a list of all current medications.

Blood Pressure Screenings
Lake Health will offer free blood pressure checks at the Chardon Campus, 510 Fifth Ave., from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
Community Education Sessions
Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers is offering free community education sessions for those interested in gaining further knowledge and insight into the disease of addiction, effects of alcohol and other drugs including marijuana, prescription pain medications or heroin and the options for treatment and recovery.
Classes are held every Monday from 1-2:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers agency’s main office located at 9083 Mentor Ave. in Mentor.
The sessions are open to people looking for education and support regarding their own, or a loved one’s use of drugs and/or alcohol. Anyone may attend the walk-in, open-ended sessions as often as they like, at no charge. Expert counselors provide basic information about the effects of substance use/abuse, including physical, emotional and psychological effects.

Family Pride Open House
Family Pride of Northeast Ohio, a family-focused mental health agency in Chardon, is hosting its first annual art auction and open house Sept. 25, from 37 p.m. All are welcome to join the Family Pride team in celebrating nine years of helping children and families in Geauga, Lake and Ashtabula counties.
Visit the agency’s expanded addition at its office building located at 695 South St. Suite 6, meet Family Pride team members and view and bid on artwork from this summer’s art contest. In addition, there are several excellent Chinese and silent auction opportunities.
