Women’s Health Expo Set
The public is invited to attend a free community education event on Feb. 7 featuring health information of special interest to women.
The ninth annual Women’s Health Expo is presented by University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Holiday Inn Express & Suites LaMalfa, 5783 Heisley Road, Mentor.
Free health screenings will also be available and a complimentary breakfast will be served. The event is free, but space is limited and reservations are required. Call 440-285-7757 for information and registration before Jan. 30.
Bloodmobile
American Red Cross blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Donors may give every 56 days and must bring some form of photo identification and a list of all current medications. Eligible donors with all types are needed, especially those with O negative, A negative and B negative.

Blood Pressure Screenings
Lake Health will offer free blood pressure checks at the Chardon Campus, 510 Fifth Ave., from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
Flu Shots Available
The Geauga County Health District has announced its adult flu clinics for adults 19 and older.
Flu shots will be available every Friday during the season from 8:30-11 a.m. at 470 Center St., Building 8, Chardon.
Geauga County Health District will bill most Medicare and employer health plans. The flu vaccinations cost $30 or $40 for high dose vaccine if they are paid for in cash.

2015 Immunization Clinics
The Geauga County General Health District offers free walk-in immunization clinics for children and adolescents through the age of 18. Residents must present an immunization record as well as a primary insurance card. The following is a list of upcoming immunization clinics:

Flu Shots
Lake Health is offering quadrivalent flu shots for $30 at the Chardon Campus, 510 Fifth Ave., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
No appointment is necessary. Individuals must be 18 years of age or older to receive the seasonal flu vaccine at our centers. The influenza vaccination is covered by Medicare.
