2015 Immunization Clinics

The Geauga County General Health District offers free walk-in immunization clinics for children and adolescents through the age of 18. Residents must present an immunization record as well as a primary insurance card.

Senior Connection

May 27, 12-1 p.m.

Lake Health will offer Senior Connection in St. Mary’s banquet hall, 401 North St. in Chardon. The Lunch and Learn program features a variety of topics dealing with seniors. May’s topic is “The Importance of a Pharmacist.”

Lunch is $2. Registration is required by calling Lake Health’s Best of Health Line at 440-953-6000.

NAMI Speaker Meeting

May 28, 6:30 p.m.

Guest speaker Sam Rutigliano will present “Talent Comes From God but Character is a Choice” at the NAMI Geauga County speaker meeting at the Geauga County Board of Mental Health & Recovery Services, 13244 Ravenna Road in Chardon.

A lifelong educator and coach, Rutigliano is well-known for his “Inner Circle” support group for recovering drug and alcohol-addicted football players. In 2007, he was given the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence’s Bronze Key Award by the NCADD’s Northeast Ohio affiliate, Recovery Resources.
