Graduation Video
Graduation is just around the corner. We need your help gathering photographs of the Class of 2013 during their Kenston school career, grades kindergarten through 12, for inclusion in a video shown during graduation. We would like to include photos of your student’s favorite Kenston moments such as the first day of school, the Letter People, athletics or class trips.
There are three ways to submit photos: email to KHS@kenstonlocal.com, with “Graduation Video Photos” in the subject line; bring “paper” photographs to school and drop off to Mr. Continenza (or the Guidance office) with student’s name and homeroom on the envelope. Pictures should include the student’s name printed on the back of the picture; or Mail photographs to Graduation Video Pictures, 9500 Bainbridge Road, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023. To have the pictures returned, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
Photos must be submitted by April 12 or sooner. To receive a copy of the video-slide show, order forms will be available in May on the Kenston website and in the Guidance Office. Copies will also be available during commencement. Cost is $22.
Get Active And Fit
As part of Kenston’s Play Blue (Promoting Learning through Active Youth) initiative, students took part in the Get Active, Get Fit School Challenge, a program put on by Radio Disney and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, designed to motivate families to achieve fitness together by engaging in fun activities.
Kids Cook Off
Kenston Cook Blue “Future Chefs Cook Off” will take place as part of the second Play Blue In Motion, Community Fitness Expo on April 14 from 1-4 p.m. at the high school. “Future Chefs” will actually prepare their recipes at the event.
The whole concept of the event is to help educate the children in healthy eating habits. Too often one hears about obesity in kids who are not making the right choices in terms of their eating habits.
Students will submit recipes for their favorite salad. The recipe must include three of the following ingredients: black beans, chicken, dried herbs or spices, eggs, lean ground beef or turkey, mango, pineapple, roasted potatoes or sweet potatoes, strawberries, lean taco meat or tortillas.
Deadline for entry is March 15. For more information, please contact playblue@kenstonlocal.org.
International Festival
