Meal Delivery Drivers Needed
The Geauga County Department on Aging is in need of Home Delivered Meal drivers.
Once trained, volunteers can deliver meals as little as once a month or as often as they would like. Many companies and/or civic groups work as a team, sending different individuals from their organization on a scheduled rotation. Because they alternate the drivers, a different driver can drive each week with the group determining the driving schedule.
The meal routes are delivered Monday through Friday, and usually take between one and a half to two hours from start to finish. Drivers are able to deliver lunch to 10 to 15 homebound seniors each shift.
Drivers must be 18 or older, have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
To volunteer, call the Geauga County Department on Aging at 440-279-2130, 440-564-7133 ext. 2130 or 440-834-1586, ext. 2130.
