Merry-Go-Round For Maasai
Notre Dame Elementary Preschool children are being asked to “change” the world. Preschoolers have been encouraged to bring their spare change to school in support of “Merry-Go-Round for Maasai” project, which is the 2013-14 project of the Sisters of Notre Dame Global Missions.
The Maasai tribe of Tanzania in East Africa is ministered to by the Sisters of Notre Dame who have formed a school for the tribal children. In addition to playground equipment, the school also is in need of furniture and teaching equipment.
Anyone interested in more information on the project may contact Sr. Marie Manning, SND, at 440-279-1160.
Teddy Graham Math
Students in Mrs. Wachob’s kindergarten class think math is delicious because they recently used Teddy Grahams to sort, count and graph their findings during a very hands-on lesson on pictographs.
Tall Ships In Third Grade
In remembrance of the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Lake Erie, third-grade students learned about the Battle of Lake Erie and its importance in the history of Ohio and the nation during their enrichment class.
