Chili Cook-Off and Auction

The annual Huntsburg Grange Chili Cook-Off and Chinese Auction will be in the Huntsburg Gym on March 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

To register a chili entry, contact Colleen at 440-636-5517. A cash prize will be awarded for people’s choice.

Buy a sampler pack at the door and try all the chili entries, and then cast your vote for the winning chili. Enjoy lunch and free cake with famous Grange frosting.

Visit with local vendors and buy tickets to win great items at the Chinese auction.

The drawing for the winner of the handmade quilt raffle donated by Chagrin Valley Quilters will be held at the event. Raffle tickets will be on sale until the drawing. Tickets are $5 each or six for $20. Buy them from any Grange member or mail a check made to The Huntsburg Grange, 16236 Mayfield Road, Huntsburg, OH 44046. The raffle ticket stubs will be mailed back and the tickets will be entered in the drawing. Winner need not be present.

Grange Meeting

The next Huntsburg Grange meeting is Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Huntsburg Town Hall. Huntsburg Grange meets on the second Monday of each month and welcomes new members..

Chamber Meeting

The Middlefield Chamber of Commerce will meet Feb. 10 at 7:30 a.m. at Mary Yoder’s Amish Kitchen. Speakers are Donna Longrich, of Totally Fit, LLC, and Dr. Adam Cramer, of Myofit in Middlefield. Both will provide information on cardio health for February’s Heart Health Month.

Each individual guest will be able to order from the special breakfast menu at Mary Yoder’s and pay individually. Please RSVP by Feb. 6 to the Middlefield Chamber Office at 440-632-5705 or mccinfo@middlefieldcc.com.

The January meeting of the Middlefield Chamber was held at the Huntsburg Community Center. Chow Down catered a delicious lunch.

The speaker was John Granny, of Kent State Geauga, who provided information about the business programs offered at Kent State Geauga and how our members can benefit.
