Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP
The Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP 4527 will meet at 1 p.m. June 3 the Bainbridge Town Hall, 17826 Chillicothe Road.
Geauga County Probate/Juvenile Court Judge Tim Grendell will speak on probates. Come with questions.
On July 1, the group will host its ice cream social and play patriotic bingo.

Chardon Trash Pickup
The City of Chardon is joining forces with the Geauga County Department on Aging for the 2013 City of Chardon Trash Collection Days June 17-19.
To register for trash pickup, individuals must be 60 years of age or older and live in the City of Chardon. The Department on Aging, along with its volunteers, will remove unwanted items from the garage or home of Chardon City senior citizens on June 17-19 . Universal Disposal will be picking up items curbside on June 21.
No brush, leaves, grass clippings, or other yard waste will be collected. Hazardous materials (household chemicals, paint, oil, batteries), tires, food waste, rocks, bricks, concrete and metal items over 4 feet in length will not be collected.
Appliances with Freon will be collected. Doors must be removed from refrigerators and freezers.
Small items must be bagged, boxed or bundled. Lumber must be bundled and tied in lengths less than 3 feet, and metal pipes shall be no longer than 4 feet. No car parts, fuel tanks or whole motor vehicles will be collected.
There is a limit of 10 items per household and all items must come from the senior’s home.
Seniors must be registered with the Department on Aging prior to pickup and must have items clearly marked for pickup if they cannot be home to sign for items picked up.

Auburn Twp. Trash Pickup
Auburn Township trustees are joining forces with the Geauga County Department on Aging for the 2010 Auburn Township Senior Trash Pickup Day June 5 and 6.
To register for trash pickup, one must be 60 or older and live in Auburn Township. The Department on Aging and the Auburn Road Crew will pick up refuse from registered seniors who need assistance and take it to the township dumpster.
No liquids, paint or other hazardous materials, construction debris, rocks, yard waste or household garbage will be accepted.
Up to six tires, appliances and other unwanted items will be accepted. Only 10 household items per home, and trash should be from that senior’s household only.
All materials should be consolidated in strong boxes and items should be kept dry if possible.
All items must be outside the home or garage by June 4. Do not leave items curbside.
