Living in the New Age of AI
The Geauga County Department on Aging launched its new “Coffee and Convos” series for senior citizens on Sept. 9 at Ohman Family Living at Holly in Newbury Township. The first program, titled “Living in the New Age of Artificial Intelligence,” drew 50 participants for a lecture and breakfast.
The monthly series is presented in partnership with Ohman Family Living, the department on aging and Case Western Reserve University. Alfred R. Cowger Jr., attorney and instructor with CWRU’s Laura and Alvin Siegal Lifelong Learning Program, discussed how artificial intelligence is affecting legal rights, finances, and daily life. He outlined both benefits and risks, along with strategies to minimize potential threats.
Future “Coffee and Convos” programs will continue to explore timely topics for seniors. For information, call 440-279-2130 or visit departmentonaging.geauga.oh.gov.
