The City of Chardon and Geauga County Department on Aging will assist Chardon seniors with moving unwanted items from garages, outbuildings and driveways to the curb on Sept. 24. Items will be collected during the city’s Sept. 26 trash pickup.
The City of Chardon and Geauga County Department on Aging will assist Chardon seniors with moving unwanted items from garages, outbuildings and driveways to the curb for the city’s Sept. 26 trash collection.
Residents must be age 60 or older, live in the City of Chardon and be registered with the Department on Aging. Registration for the pickup is required by Sept. 17.
Items must be boxed, bundled or bagged, and upholstered furniture and mattresses must be securely wrapped in plastic. A limit of 10 items per household applies. Certain items, including tires, hazardous materials, yard waste, household garbage and appliances containing Freon, will not be accepted.
