West Geauga Senior Citizens Recognition Dinner
May 6, 4:30 p.m.
The 25th annual West Geauga Senior Citizens Recognition Dinner will be held in the West Geauga High School Cafeteria, 13401 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. Sponsored by West Geauga Schools and the Rotary Club of Chesterland, the evening promises to be both entertaining and full of friendly faces.
Payment of $5 per person will be collected at the door. Valet parking available. Call the board of education office, 440-729-6812, for reservations.

Bainbridge Twp. Senior Trash Pickup
May 4-6
Bainbridge Township Trustees are joining forces with the Geauga County Department on Aging for the Bainbridge Senior Trash Pick-Up Days May 4-6.
To register for trash pickup, one must be 60 years of age or older and live in Bainbridge Township. The Department on Aging and Bainbridge Service Department will pick up refuse from registered seniors who need assistance and take it to the township dumpster.
Tires, batteries, appliances, propane tanks, TVs, old furniture, mattresses and other unwanted items will be accepted. Any loose materials should be con-solidated in strong boxes and protected from the weather prior to pickup.
No unused medications, hazardous chemicals, oil, paints and solvents, pesticides, yard waste, garbage, construction or debris will be accepted.
Only 10 household items per home and the trash should be from the registered senior’s household only. Items must be left outside of home or garage on May 3. Do not leave items curbside.

Claridon Twp. Senior Trash Pickup

Claridon Township Trustees are joining forces with the Geauga County Department on Aging for the Claridon Township Senior Trash Pick-Up Day.
To register for trash pickup, one must be 60 years of age or older and live in Claridon Township. The township road crew and the Department on Aging will pick up refuse from registered seniors who need assistance and take it to the township dumpster.
No liquids, paint or other hazardous materials, construction debris, rocks, yard waste or household garbage will be accepted. A maximum of four tires off the rim, propane tanks, appliances and other unwanted items will be accepted.
Only 10 household items per home and the trash should be from the registered senior’s household only. Items must be left outside the garage, not curbside.
Seniors must be registered with the Department on Aging prior to pickup.

Annual Spaghetti Lunch
May 12, 1 p.m.
The Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP 4527 will hold its meeting and annual spaghetti lunch at the Bainbridge Town Hall, 17826 Chillicothe Road in Bainbridge Township. Cost is $5. Reservations are required; call Betty Scholz at 440-338-8321.
Upcoming bus trips include a trip to Presque It’sle Casino on May 27 for a cost of $27, with a return of $35 in slot play; and a trip to River’s Casino in Pittsburgh, Pa., for a cost of $29 with a return of $20 in slot play. Contact Skip or Marge at 440-338-3607 if interested.
