Chow Down in Huntsburg is holding Oktoberfest on Oct. 18 from 6-9 p.m. at Huntsburg Community Center, 12406 Madison Road. Enjoy authentic foods, including schnitzles, bratwurst, knockwurst, spaetzles, potato pancakes, red cabbage, german potato sald, strudel and more.

Guests 21 and over may bring their own alcoholic beverages; wash is supplied. Button box music by Patty Candela of the Polka Hall of Fame.

Fashion Safari Party

Enjoy a girls night out and a fashion show of the latest trends at a fashion safari party from Premier Designs taking place at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at 12406 Madison Road in Huntsburg.

Piano Giveaway

Huntsburg Congregational Church is giving away an upright piano. The new piano owner will need to remove the piano from the church.

Those interested may call the church at 440-636-5504 and leave a name and phone number. Rev. Bob Barber will retrieve the messages and have someone call back with more information.

Chamber Meeting

The Middlefield Chamber of Commerce will meet at noon Nov. 13 in the Huntsburg Community Center. Chow Down will cater the lunch.

Speakers will be Lisa Gambosi, Middlefield Village economic director, and Anita Stocker, director of Geauga County Community and Economic Development.

Church Women United

Church Women United will meet Nov. 7 at Pilgrim Christian Church, 202 S. Hambden St. in Chardon. Parking is behind the fire station and also around the Chardon Square.

Registration starts at 9:15 a.m., with setup for the in-house bazaar. Brunch will start at 9:30 a.m. Shop at the Bazaar and have brunch.

The business meeting starts at 10 a.m.; the program is “Through God, Our Hands Can Heal.”

Bring craft type items for the in-house bazaar and nonperishable foods for the Hunger Task Force.
