Board of Elections Voter Alert
"Time is short for this mail process, so please request the application to vote by mail as soon as possible." – Ed Ryder
Gov. Mike DeWine recently signed legislation to make the Ohio Primary a vote-by-mail election.
If you have not yet voted in the 2020 primary election, download an application for an absentee ballot from the Geauga County Board of Elections website, boelections.co.geauga.oh.us, or obtain one by calling the Board of Elections at 440-279-2030 and one will be mailed to you.
Please do not contact the Board of Elections in person. There will be no ballots available to vote in person. It must be done by mail.
If you have voted already in this primary, you don’t need to do anything. Your vote has already been cast, and it will be counted.
Time is short for this mail process, so please request the application to vote by mail as soon as possible. The entire voting process must be completed by April 28, which does not allow much time to accomplish all the necessary steps.
Please plan accordingly to ensure that your vote will count.
Ed Ryder, Chairman
Geauga County Board of Elections
