Slipping

It’s fortunate that Judge Grendell doesn’t read the Maple Leaf or his handpicked

GPD executive director would be in trouble.

In the Aug. 30 issue, an article written about the Thompson Township Park Commission ( “Analysis Paralysis . . . “ by John Karlovec, page 4, Geauga Park District) quotes John Oros as stating that TRAILS ( my caps ) are probably the number one amenity people seek out at the county park system. He has always said that people want recreational experiences for every age, every ability, at all times of the year. No mention of playgrounds, hunting, rock climbing, snowmobiling or zip lines.

You’re slipping, John!

Remembering the Little Guy

This year’s Great Geauga Fair was one of the most enjoyable because I could plan my visit knowing what activities were being held on what days.

I don’t use a computer so I greatly appreciated the fair schedule Matt Rambo sent me in the mail. Now that’s information I could use.

In all the years I’ve been going to the fair, I’ve never received that type of information from any candidate for public office. I’ll be voting for Matt Rambo for judge. He hasn’t forgotten about the little guy.
