From The Heart Of Our Berkshire Strong Community . . .
The Berkshire Strong Community leadership team and members believe our message, born out of compassion for our Berkshire student body and a passion to make a difference, has been twisted and manipulated.
We would like to set the record straight.
We are a group of concerned parents, grandparents, citizens and taxpayers who believe in the future of our school, the impact it has on our children, and that each and every student has a voice.
We believe in fairness for every student at Berkshire.
We believe in the validity of each student’s beliefs and individuality.
We believe that the mental health of our student body is vitally important and that every student deserves respect and understanding.
We believe in the importance of working together in solidarity with the Berkshire Staff and Administration to create the best school possible to provide opportunities for excellence in education.
We want every student despite race, gender, sexual identity, political association or religion to feel loved and accepted.
We believe in transparency between staff and parents.
We believe in mutual respect, accountability and honoring the family.
The purpose of our Berkshire Strong Community group is to collaboratively encourage positive voices to promote honor, integrity, transparency, equality, fairness and respect for every student in our Berkshire School System.
In an effort to maintain these community principles in our schools, this group was formed as a place of unity and support for students, parents, staff and residents. As evidenced by the outpouring of community involvement, the formation of this group has been extremely important in giving people a voice, an opportunity to learn more about our local schools and to become more involved.
Our concerns are directed at our Berkshire Board Of Education and our Superintendent, not a specific group of students. Our message has never been about hate, exclusion, division or bigotry.
We believe in Berkshire.
