Cleveland Woman Charged in Controlled Cocaine Buy

A Cleveland woman is facing multiple felony charges for trafficking and possession of cocaine after Geauga County Sheriff’s Office deputies orchestrated a controlled buy of drugs in Bainbridge Township.

A Cleveland woman is facing multiple felony charges for trafficking and possession of cocaine after Geauga County Sheriff’s Office detectives orchestrated a controlled buy of drugs in Bainbridge Township.

Kaela L. Marable-Anderson, 25, of Cleveland, has been charged with four counts each of trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine and possessing criminal tools, all fifth-degree felonies; and one count each of trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, fourth-degree felonies.

The grand jury indictment was filed Jan. 31.

If convicted, Marable-Anderson faces up to 18 months in prison and a maximum fine of $5,000 on the fentanyl charges, and up to 12 months in prison and a fine up to $2,500 on the cocaine charges.

The alleged crimes took place on July 7, July 14, July 28 and Aug. 12, 2021.

According to a law enforcement source familiar with the investigation, sheriff’s office detectives, working undercover, contacted Marable-Anderson on several occasions about the purchase of heroin and crack cocaine. Each time she met the detectives in Bainbridge to complete the deal. After each controlled buy, the suspect drugs or substances were sent to the crime lab at the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation for testing and analysis. The results were conclusive for the presence of cocaine or fentanyl.

Marable-Anderson is a realtor with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, according to a business card found after her Aug. 12 arrest.
