Middlefield Village Planning and Zoning Commission members reviewed preliminary plans April 8 to convert the former A.J. Jordak Elementary School into a senior living complex. Anderson Ohman, who purchased the 5.5-acre property at 16011 Pierce Street in August 2025 for about $2.2 million, plans to repurpose the existing building and construct a three-story addition on the south end to accommodate residents age 55 and older. Village Zoning Inspector John Boksansky presented the plans, describing the project as a mix of independent living, assisted living and multipurpose senior housing.
