  Notice is hereby given that the Auburn Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, the 13th day of April, 2021, at 7:00 PM at the Adam Hall, 11455 Washington Street, Auburn Township, OH 44023, for the following agenda item:

  BZA-2021-02v, an appeal requesting a variance, submitted by James J. Caronite, from the Auburn Township Zoning Resolution, Article 5.02(a) Accessory Buildings: No accessory building shall be located in a front yard for a proposed accessory building located at 18005 Auburn Road, Auburn Township OH 44023 in an R-2 zoning district.

  Social distancing will be in place, face masks are required.

NOTICE OF AGREED JUDGMENT ENTRY

  20-A-000650 – Sheryl Clemson and Mark Clemson vs. Hambden Township Board of Zoning Appeals

  Please be advised that the Township of Hambden located in Geauga County, by and through the Hambden Township Board of Trustees, intends to enter into a consent judgment entry and agreement in the case captioned In Re: Appeal of Sheryl Clemson and Mark Clemson From a Decision of the Hambden Township Board of Zoning Appeals, formerly captioned In Re: Appeal of Universal Landscaping Products From a Decision of the Hambden Township Board of Zoning Appeals, Geauga County Court of Common Pleas case number 20A650. This consent judgment entry allows for the split of PPN 15-102631, with ten acres permitted to be used both residentially and commercially. Additionally, this newly created ten-acre parcel and PPN 15-002000 shall be permitted to be used as the base of operations of Appellants’ trucking business.  These parcels are commonly known as 10028 and 10060 Old State Road, located in Hambden Township, Ohio.  A copy of the proposed consent entry and agreement is available for review at the township offices during normal business hours.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

  Notice is hereby given that the Russell Township Board of Zoning Appeals will have a Public Hearing on Two Applicants for variances to the Russell Township Zoning Resolution on Monday April 5th, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the Russell Township Town Hall, 14890 Chillicothe Road.

  Variance Application #535 – Submitted by Cliff Babcock, 9456 Fairmount Rd. The Applicant would like to split a parcel and create a five-acre lot, with existing house. The balance of the property to be a vacant lot for future building. The applicant would be seeking a variance to the required frontage (300’) having only 179.32, thus seeking a variance of 120.68’. In addition, the owner DOES NOT intend to build at the minimum set back but as required, the lot width is measured at the forward most setback, 125’. The applicant has 148.81, thus requiring a lot width variance of 151.19’.

  Variance Application # 536 – Submitted by Brant Semplak, 8720 Galloway Tr. The property is located in the R-3 Zone.  The applicant is seeking to install a 46’x50’ accessory structure that sits 30’ off the property line. The required setback is 50’. The applicant is seeking a 20’ variance.

  Variance Application #537 – Submitted by Chase Dardis, 9380 Pekin Rd. The property is located in the R-3 Zone. The applicant is seeking to raze and rebuild a new single family home. The property is preexisting and fails to meet the required lot frontage and lot width, seeking a 56.30’ variance for each as well as a side yard setback variance. Not meeting the required 50’setback, the applicant is seeking a 14’ variance.

  Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Geauga County Board of Commissioners at, 470 Center Street, Building 4, Chardon, Ohio 44024 until 1:45 P.M. official local time on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 for the Washington St. / Haskins Rd. Traffic Signal Installation. Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud the same day at 2:00 P.M.  The estimated construction cost for this project is $250,000.00.

  A bid guaranty in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the bid amount or a certified check, cashier’s check or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid amount shall accompany each bid.  The bid shall be let upon a unit price basis.

  Bids may be held by the Geauga County Board of Commissioners for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening, for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.

  The Geauga County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid or bids which are deemed most favorable to the Board at the time and under conditions stipulated, all in accord with the applicable provisions of laws of the State of Ohio governing the conduct of the Geauga County Board of Commissioners.
