Geauga County
A detailed Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for 2019 covering all revenues and expenses of the County, by fund, is prepared under the requirements of the Bureau of Inspection and Supervision of Public Offices, Auditor of State) and is available for public inspection. The County Auditor’s office has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting on the CAFR for each year since 1989. This award has benefited the County’s bond rating and financial reporting. The Citizens Financial Report was established in 1996 and presents the CAFR in a condensed version with general terms, charts and graphs. Geauga County intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency, Office of Community Development, for funding under the FY-2021 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities Program, a federally funded program administered by the State of Ohio. Geauga County is eligible to apply for these categories of funding for FY-2021 providing the County meets applicable program requirements.

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Geauga County Airport Authority, 15421 Old State Road, Middlefield, Ohio, 44062 until 12:00 noon, April 22, 2021, and will be opened and read immediately thereafter.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or a bid guaranty in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount, such check or bid guaranty to be made in favor of the Geauga County Airport Authority and shall be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted and a contract awarded to the Bidder, the contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured.
Envelope containing the bid and other required documents should be sealed and clearly marked “Geauga County Airport T-Hangar Construction”.
Prevailing wage rates are applicable to the project regardless of any contractual relationship, which may be said to exist between the contractor or Subcontractor and such individual.
The successful bidder is required to furnish a bond for the faithful performance of the contract in a sum of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price for the complete work, said bond to be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio meeting the requirements of the O.R.C. Section 153.54.
The work generally consists of: Provide and erect a Pre-Engineered 10-unit T-Hangar Building; site work including foundation, concrete floor slab, concrete paving, grading, and drainage improvements; electrical service and building electrical work; gas service; in-slab hydronic heating system (as an alternate bid).
The Bidder shall bid on all bid items including alternate items.
