Notice is hereby given that the Claridon Township Board of Township Trustees will conduct a public hearing on a motion which is an amendment, identified as number Z2025-3, to the Claridon Township Zoning Resolution at the Claridon Administration Building at 7:30 pm on January 19, 2026.

The motion proposing to amend the zoning resolution will be available for examination at the Claridon Township Administration Building from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm from Mondays & Wednesdays prior to the public hearing.

Notice is hereby given that copies of the proposed tax budget of the Berkshire Local School District, Geauga County, Ohio for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027 are on file in the office of the Treasurer of the Board of Education and open for public inspection during regular business hours, pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code. The Tax Budget Hearing, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, will be held on Wednesday January 14, 2026 at 5:15 P.M. at 400 Washington Street (Transportation Business Affairs Center).

A detailed General Purpose Financial Statement covering all revenues and expenses of the Chardon Local School District, by fund, is prepared under the requirements of the Bureau of Inspection and Supervision of Public Offices, (Auditor of State) and is available for public inspection.

The Tax Budget and the Financial Statements are available for inspection during regular business hours (10 days prior to hearing date, as required) at Chardon Board of Education, 428 North St., Chardon, OH 44024.

Munson Township Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing on January 15, 2026 at 6:30 pm at the Munson Town Hall, 12210 Auburn Rd., Munson, OH to consider the following appeals for variances.

CASE 26-01: Nicole Williams 11620 Auburn Rd., Chardon OH – requests to keep an existing 16’ x 18’ accessory building approx. 20’ from the north side property line. Violates SEC. 411 Minimum Dimensional Requirements – minimum side yard setback is 25’.

CASE 26-02: Wayne Burwell 12865 Rockhaven Rd., Chesterland OH – requests to keep a 12’ x 20’ accessory building approx. 3’ from the north side lot line and in front of the home and a driveway extension 0’ from the north side lot line. Violates SEC. 411 Minimum Dimensional Requirements – minimum side yard setback is 25’; SEC. 509.2 Unless otherwise noted herein, no freestanding garage or other accessory structure shall be erected within the front yard of any district, except fencing; and SEC. 511 (in part) Driveways shall be a minimum of 15’ from any lot line.

APPEAL FOR AN AREA VARIANCE TO THE CHESTER TOWNSHIP

ZONING RESOLUTION

Notice is hereby given that the Chester Township Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing on an application identified as ZA-2026-1, on the 12th day of January 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at Chester Town Hall. 

The applicant, Paul Ridley is requesting an area variance for height and size of a proposed accessory building. The accessory building would have an area of 8,424 square feet and a proposed median height of 25’. This proposal is in violation of the maximum total area of 2,500 square feet per Section 501.3 of the Chester Township Zoning Resolution and the 20’ median height permitted per Section 501.17 of the Chester Township Zoning Resolution
