Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the CHESTER TOWNSHIP, Ohio, passed on the JUNE 18, 2020, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the GENERAL ELECTION to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 3th day of November, 2020 the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten mill limitation:

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Chester Township for the purpose of general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing, and repair of streets, roads and bridges at a rate not exceeding 2.5 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.25 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2020, first due in calendar year 2021.

BID NOTICES

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER SERVICES

Newbury Township

   The Newbury Township Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the planned building of a new Fire-Rescue Station Addition/Renovation at 11111 Kinsman Road in Newbury Township.

A conceptual plan has been completed with a cost estimate of approximately $2.5 million.

It is now necessary for the Township to engage a Construction Manager for the construction of the fire-rescue station addition/renovation. Detailed drawings, specifications construction schedule and bid packages will need to be developed. The design firm will be selected at a later date.

   The Construction Manager shall provide construction manager services as generally described in the standard form of agreement between the Owner and the Construction Manager (A.I.A document B801/CMA, 1992 edition, as supplemented). Additional services may be negotiated between the Owner and the Construction Manager. The Construction Management Firm employed on this project must have technical training, education and experience in construction management and available personnel, equipment and facilities required to perform the services. The firm must also have a record of successful performance as reflected by the evaluation of previous clients with respect to control of costs, quality of work and meeting the deadlines, particularly in the management of municipal fire stations or related projects and financial responsibility as required by the O.R.C.

   Proposals will be received on or before 4:00 p.m., November 16, 2020. The opening of proposals will take place at the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees, at the above listed address, at 7:00 p.m., November 18, 2020.

The Board of Trustees plan on selecting a Construction Manager for the project by the end of November, 2020.
