Vacation of Public Rights of Way upon a Portion of Doty Road, TR-532 and
An Un-Named, Non-Numbered Road in Parkman Township, Geauga County, Ohio
Notice is hereby given that the Geauga County Board of Commissioners will hold a public viewing and a public hearing for the proposed vacation of the public right of way upon a portion of Doty Road (TR-532) and in its entirety, an Un-named, Non-numbered Road beginning at the current easterly terminus of Doty Road (TR532) to its southerly terminus at the Portage County Line. The Parkman Board of Township Trustees has filed a resolution with the Commissioners’ Office requesting the vacation. The area of Doty Road, TR 532 and the Un-named, Non-numbered Road proposed to be vacated is located approximately 1345 feet east of the intersection of said Doty Road and Nelson Road (CH-001), east to its terminus, and in its entirety, an un-named, non-numbered Road described in Volume B, Page 246 of the Geauga County Engineer’s Road Records, beginning at the current easterly terminus of Doty Road (TR532) to its southerly terminus at the Portage County Line. A public viewing for the proposed vacation will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. and a public hearing for the proposed vacation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 9:10 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Chambers at 470 Center Street, Bldg. 4, Chardon, OH 44024, at which time the Board will hear comments and questions from any interested persons concerning the proposed vacation of said rights-of-way.

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH STREET, WATER AND SEWER EMPLOYEES THROUGH THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES LOCAL 3824, AND OHIO COUNCIL 8, AFL/CIO, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
An ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a collective bargaining agreement with street, water and sewer employees through the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 3824, and Ohio Council 8, AFL/CIO to provide public services to the City of Chardon.

ORDINANCE NO. 2991
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT/AGREEMENT WITH MEDICAL MUTUAL BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2018 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
An ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Medical Mutual beginning January 1, 2018 for employee group medical insurance, $582.56/month for single coverage, $1,281.62/month for an employee and spouse, $984.53/month for an employee and children and $1,800.11/month for family coverage; premium plans option at cost per coverage, $657.78/month for single coverage, $1,447.15/month for an employee and spouse, $1,111.68/month for an employee and child(ren) and $2,032.59/month for family coverage; and health savings amount option at cost per coverage of $512.91/month for single coverage, $1,122.39/month for an employee and spouse, $863.37/month for an employee and child(ren) and $1,574.44/month for family coverage.

ORDINANCE NO. 2992
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A MAXIMUM AMOUNT PAYABLE FOR MEDICAL AND DENTAL INSURANCE FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF CHARDON BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2018 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
An ordinance establishing the maximum amounts paid by the City of Chardon for employee medical insurance: the maximum the City will pay is $524.30/month for single coverage, $1,153.46/month for an employee and spouse, $886.08/month for employee and child(ren) and $1,620.10/month for family coverage for medical insurance; and for dental insurance $29.99/month for single coverage and $82.27/month for family coverage.

Separate sealed bids for the State Route 87 (W. Center St.) Waterline Replacement Project will be received by the Village of Burton, Ohio at the Burton Village Office, 14588 West Park, Burton, Ohio, until 12:00 o’clock noon (local time), January 8, 2018 and then in said office publicly opened and read aloud.
The work covered by the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS includes the following:
Installation of approximately 606LF of New 8” D.I. waterline (to replace old 6” line), including pavement and sidewalk replacement, driveway apron replacement/overlay, new fire hydrants, valves and connecting existing water services to new main, along with traffic control.
The Engineer’s opinion of probable cost for this project is $102,230.00 as of November, 2017.

Upon payment of $70.00 for pickup or $80.00 for Contract Documents to be mailed, NONE OF WHICH WILL BE REFUNDED.
In accordance with Ohio Revised Code §153.54, the contractor shall file with the bid a bid guaranty in the form of either: 1) a bond for the full amount of the bid, or 2) a certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit equal to 10% of the bid. Bid security furnished in Bond Form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.
Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The Project shall be substantially complete on April 1, 2018 and totally complete on May 15, 2018.
All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, service, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in the Village of Burton, Geauga County and the State Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239.
