 Unknown Heirs at Law, Devisees, Legatees, Administrators, and Executors of the Estate of Michael Carothers, whose present place of residence is unknown, will take notice that on February 17, 2023, Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, as Trustee for the benefit of the Freddie Mac Seasoned Loans Structured Transaction Trust, Series 2021-1, filed its Complaint  in Foreclosure in Case No. 23-F-000103 in the Court of Common Pleas Geauga County, Ohio, 100 Short Court, Chardon, OH 44024, alleging that the Defendants, Unknown Heirs at Law, Devisees, Legatees, Administrators, and Executors of the Estate of Michael Carothers, have or claim to have an interest in the real estate located at 11658 Pekin Road, Newbury, OH 44065, PPN #23-297500 and 23-297600.  A complete legal description may be obtained with the Geauga County Auditor’s Office located at 231 Main St., Chardon, OH 44024-1293.

 The Petitioner further alleges that by reason of default of the Defendant(s) in the payment of a promissory note, according to its tenor, the conditions of a  concurrent mortgage deed given to secure the payment of said note and conveying  the premises described, have been broken, and the same has become absolute.

 The Petitioner prays that the Defendant(s) named above be required to answer and set up their interest in said real estate or be forever barred from asserting the same, for foreclosure of said mortgage, the marshalling of any liens, and the sale of said real estate, and the proceeds of said sale applied to the payment of Petitioner’s claim in the property order of its priority, and for such other and further relief as is just and equitable.

 Notice is hereby given that during the Special Council Meeting held on December 8, 2023, The Village of Middlefield passed the following legislation: 

ORDINANCE 23-159 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT THE REVENUE TO BE COLLECTED UNDER THE 2.0 MILL TAX LEVY FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT SERVICES APPROVED ON NOVEMBER 5, 2019 IS GREATER THAN THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY NEEDED, REQUESTING THE GEAUGA COUNTY BUDGET COMMISSION TO DECREASE THE LEVY BY APPROXIMATELY 28.5% TO 1.43 MILLS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

 The Berkshire Local School District Board of Education is accepting proposals from firms to construct new baseball and softball fields for the District’s New Sports Park Project (the “New Sports Park Project”).
