Each Defendant will take notice that on June 10, 2022, Plaintiff filed a Complaint for Foreclosure in the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas, 100 Short Court, Suite 300, Chardon, OH 44024, being 22-F-000329 alleging that there is due to Plaintiff the sum of $76,630.02 plus interest at 5.25% per annum from December 1, 2021, plus late charges, pre-payment penalties, title charges, court costs and expenses as applicable to the terms of the Promissory Note secured by a mortgage on the real property, which has a street address of 9800 NORTH BOULEVARD, CHAGRIN FALLS, OH 44023 and being permanent parcel number 01-081200.

Plaintiff further alleged that by a reason of default in payment of said Promissory Note, the conditions of said Mortgage have been broken and the same has become absolute.

The Defendant(s) named above are required to answer and assert any interest in said property or be forever barred from asserting any interest therein, and to raise any defense to foreclosure of said mortgage, the marshalling of liens, the sale of said real property. Said Defendant(s) are required to file an Answer within twenty-eight days after last date of publication, which shall be published once a week for three (3) consecutive weeks, or they might be denied a hearing in this case.

Notice is hereby given that the Burton Township Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing on an application for an appeal for a variance to the Burton Township Zoning Resolution on the 3rd day of January, 2023 at 7:00 o’clock p.m. at: Burton Township Administration Building, 14821 Rapids Road, Burton, Ohio 44021.

This application #1583-22, submitted by John Bonner requests an area variance for a front yard setback of 75 feet,  in order to construct a detached garage. The zoning requirement for a front yard setback is 120 feet.  He seeks relief from Article IV, Section 402.7(A)1, Front Yard Setback, of the Burton Township Zoning Resolution as amended August 14, 2019. He asks that this be granted for the lot located at: 14252 Burton Windsor Road in Burton Township Ohio, Parcel #04-043400.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR CRITERIA ARCHITECT SERVICES

Russell Township

The Russell Township Board of Trustees is interested in engaging the services of a Criteria Architect to assist with construction projects in 2023 including a new Community Meeting Building to be located on Kinsman Road (SR 87) in Russell Township, Geauga County, Ohio.

The Community Meeting Building is expected to be an approximately 2,200 square foot wood frame building, situated on a greenfield site, south of the existing Russell Township Administration Building, 8501 Kinsman Road. A multi-purpose meeting room, small conference room, toilet facilities, cabinetry, kitchen accessories, audio-visual technology facilities, interior storage, and a utility room are needed.

The Criteria Architect employed on this project shall prepare conceptual plans and specifications, assist the township with the establishment of the design criteria for a design-build project, aid with bidding phase, and, serve as the representative and provide, during the design-build project, other design and construction administration services on behalf of the trustees, including but not limited to, confirming that the design prepared by the firm reflects the original design intent established in the design criteria package, and construction observation services during the construction period to ensure compliance with the design intent.

The Criteria Architect employed on the project must have the technical training, education, and experience to provide these professional design and managerial services. The Criteria Architect must be able to make available the necessary personnel, equipment, and facilities to perform the services within the required time. The Criteria Architect must have a record of successful performance as reflected by the evaluation of previous clients with respect to control of costs, quality of work, and meeting deadlines, particularly in the management of government related projects. The Criteria Architect must demonstrate financial responsibility as required by the O.R.C.

Proposals must include at the minimum: a statement of interest in the project AND a statement of qualifications (SOQ). Please submit four (4) copies of your written proposal and one copy in an electronic format (PDF) in a sealed envelope marked “Russell Township Community Building: Criteria Architect Proposal” to the Russell Township Board of Trustees at 8501 Kinsman Road, P.O. Box 522, Russell Township, Ohio 44072. Proposals must be received on or before 12:00 pm, noon (local time), January 19, 2023.

Proposals will be reviewed by the Board of Trustees and results announced in February, 2023.

The Geauga County Board of Commissioners intends to request proposals per Geauga County Commissioners Resolution 22-194 Authorizing the Acceptance of Payments by Financial Transaction Devices for County Expenses Owed to County Officials/Offices in accordance with R.C. 301.28. Request for Proposals will be mailed to interested financial institutions on Monday, January 9, 2023.

Any financial institution, issuers, or processor interested in receiving the Request for Proposals from the County shall submit written notice of this interest to the Geauga County Board of Commissioners’ Office at the address listed below no later than NOON on Monday, January 9, 2023.
