Said valuations may be checked online at https://auditor.geauga.oh.gov or at the Real Estate Department of the Geauga County Auditor’s Office, located at the Courthouse Annex, 231 Main St., Suite 1A, Chardon, Ohio 44024. Any complaint against the valuation may be filed with the Board of Revision January 1, 2025, to March 31, 2025, in the Geauga County Auditor’s Office.

Notice is hereby given that the Troy Township Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing on an application for an appeal for a variance to the Troy Township Zoning Resolution and an application for a conditional zoning certificate on the 13th day of January, 2025 at 7:00 o’clock p.m. at the Troy Community Center, 13950 Main Market Road, Burton, OH 44021.
This application #ZP24-33, submitted by Eli J. Byler, requests that he be granted relief regarding an area variance for front yard setback. The application for the appeal pertains to Article IV Section 402.6(B)(1) which states “The minimum yard setbacks for all accessory buildings, structures, and uses except as otherwise provided in Section 402.2.2 shall be as follows: 1. Front yard setback: 75 feet. They propose a front yard setback of 49 feet for a variance of 26 feet.

Sarah Doe, Name Unknown, Unknown Spouse, if any of Scott McGiffin, whose last known address is 17810 Bridge Creek Trail, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023, and who cannot be served, will take notice that on 04/26/2024, Plaintiff filed a Complaint for Money, Foreclosure in Reformation and other Equitable Relief in the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas, Geauga County, Ohio, 100 Short Court, Suite 300, Chardon, OH 44024, Case No. 24-F-000294 against Sarah Doe, Name Unknown, Unknown Spouse, if any of Scott McGiffin, and others as Defendants, alleging that, John E. McGiffin aka John McGiffin is in default for all payments from August 1, 2023; that on December 7, 2013, John E. McGiffin aka John McGiffin, deceased, and Kimberly McGiffin executed and delivered a certain Mortgage Deed in which said Defendants agreed, among other things, to pay the Note and to comply with all of the terms of the Mortgage Deed hereinafter described, which Mortgage Deed was filed in the Recorder’s Office of Geauga County, Ohio on December 20, 2013, recorded in Volume 1964, Page 1183 that, further, the balance due on the Note is $120,021.52 with interest at the rate of 5.0000% per annum from August 1, 2023; that to secure the payment of the Note, executed and delivered a certain Mortgage Deed to and thereby conveying, in fee simple, the following described premises:
