  Notice is hereby given that the Chester Township Zoning Commission will conduct a public hearing on a motion which is an amendment, identified as number Z2020-6, to the Chester Township Zoning Resolution at the Chester Township Town Hall at 7:00 p.m. on December 16, 2020.

  The motion proposing to amend the zoning resolution will be available for examination at the Chester Township Town Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. from December 3, 2020 through December 16, 2020.

  After the conclusion of the public hearing, the matter will be submitted to the board of township trustees for its action.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Troy Township

  Notice is hereby given that the Troy Township Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing on an application for an appeal for a variance to the Troy Township Zoning Resolution on the 14th day of December, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. at the Troy Community Center, 13950 Main Market Road, Burton, OH 44021.

  This application #ZP20-29, submitted by Steven Yoder, requests that he be granted relief regarding an Area zoning certificate for a two (2) family home on his lot. The application for the appeal pertains to Article IV Section 402.1 Permitted Principal Buildings, Structures and Uses Letter G which states, Single family detached dwellings, including industrialized units and manufactured homes subject to the regulations set for in Section 402.17. There shall be no more than one, single family detached dwelling on a lot, and he wishes to have a two (2) family dwelling. Stephen Yoder has filed an application for an Area zoning certificate and wants it to be granted for the property located at 14611 Patch Road in Troy Township PPN # 32-062700.

  Notice is hereby given that the Russell Township Board of Zoning Appeals will have a Public Hearings on two applications for variances to the Russell Township Zoning Resolution on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at the Russell Township Town Hall, 14890 Chillicothe Road.

  Variance Application #532 – Submitted by James Robert Shoff for property at 15051 Russell Road. The property(s) in question all fail to meet the 5 acre requirement. The Applicant would like to split a parcel and have it consolidated into his parcel. As this would further bring one property further from compliance, it would also increase another property(s) and bring them more into conformity. This requires BZA approval for the Geauga Planning Commission to approve.

Newbury Township

  The Township of Newbury located in Geauga County, Ohio, is accepting sealed bids for the demolition and removal of a nuisance structure located at 11716 Portlew Road, Newbury, Ohio, 44065 and more particularly know as Geauga County PP Number 23-257800. The building consists of approximately 1,446 square feet, located on 0.70 acre.

  The contractor must be experienced in demolitions and licensed or certified to perform the work. Bid to include the demolition of all structural buildings and any buried foundation, basement and septic must be excavated and then filled with stabilizing material. The finished grade must be planted to a perennial seed and covered by the appropriate material to prevent erosion.

  The contractor is responsible for proper disposal of all materials, none of which can be buried on site, to a legal site chosen by the Contractor. All bids must be sealed, contain 4 copies and be accompanied by a current certificate of insurance. Bids must be received at the Newbury Township Office located at 14788 Auburn Road, Newbury, Ohio by 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 9, 2020.  Bids will be opened and read at the regular Trustee Meeting at 7:30 P.M.

  The Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District will be accepting sealed bids until Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM at 5138 Enterprise Dr., Warren, OH 44481 and opened and read for:

THE PURPOSE OF DEVELOPING A GREENFIELD SITE AT 12685 MERRITT ROAD IN GEAUGA COUNTY AND BUILDING A NEW BUILDING FOR COLLECTION AND PROCESSING OF HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE.

  A copy of the drawings and specifications including proposal pages may be obtained from Phillips|Sekanick Architects, 142 E.   FAILURE TO OBTAIN PROPOSAL FROM PHILLIPS|SEKANICK ARCHITECTS MAY RESULT IN BID REJECTION DUE TO NON-COMPLIANCE WITH FEE REQUIREMENTS AND OFFICIAL ADDENDUM NOTIFICATION/S.

  For all bids in excess of $50,000.00, a certified check or cashier’s check representing TEN percent (10%) of the proposal, drawn on a solvent bank, and payable to the Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District, or a bid bond in the sum of TEN percent (10%) of the proposal in lieu thereof must accompany each and every proposal as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with the Geauga-Trumbull SWMD Board of Directors, in the manner provided by law.

  A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required at the time the bidder enters into the contract.

  Bids of Corporations not chartered in Ohio MUST be accompanied by proper cer-tifications that such Corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio.

  Attention of the Bidder is directed to the requirements that each proposal must be accompanied by a non‑collusion affidavit, properly executed by the Bidder.  Further, the successful Bidder will be required to execute an af-fidavit required by Sec. 5719.042 of the Ohio Revised Code.  No payment shall be made on any Contract for which no such affidavit has been submitted.

  The Geauga-Trumbull SWMD Board of Directors reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.  In addition, the Geauga-Trumbull SWMD Board of Directors reserves the right to participate in state contracts which the Department of Administrative Services, Office of State Purchasing has entered into for the purchase of supplies, services, equipment and certain materials pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 125.04.  No bids may be withdrawn for at least sixty (60) days after the opening thereof.

  Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, sex or national origin.
