To all unknown successors and assigns of The Clifton Investment Company, and to all unknown successor and assigns that have or may have an interest in the following property, to wit:

Situated in the Township of Munson, County of Geauga, and State of Ohio, and described as follows: That portion of a 40’ private drive labeled as Yale Drive on the Mayfield Gardens Subdivision No. 1, in Tract No. 1, Lot No. 4, as recorded in Volume 3, Pages 15 and 16 of Geauga County Plat Records, bounded on the South by Sublots 11 and 12 of Section B, bounded on the North by Sublots 11 and 12 of Section A, on the East by State Route 44 and on the West by the continuation of Yale Drive.

The above defendants shall take notice that on November 13, 2018, a Complaint has been filed by Plaintiff, Best Sand Corporation, in the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas, 100 Short Court Street, #300, Chardon, Ohio 44024, Case No. 18-M-000854, to quiet title and for declaratory judgment to vest title in the Plaintiff; that Plaintiff be declared the true and lawful owner; that title be quieted from and against any Defendants or others claiming through it; and that all claims of any other party be set forth or be forever barred.

The defendants named above are required to answer the Complaint within twenty-eight (28) days after the last publication of this legal notice.

LEGAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS

City of Chardon

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Chardon at the office of the City Manager, Chardon Municipal Center, 111 Water Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024, until 4:00 P.M. local time on January 2, 2019 and then publicly opened and read aloud, for furnishing services for the following:

EXCLUSIVE CONTRACT FOR RESIDENTIAL REFUSE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL IN AND FOR THE CITY OF CHARDON, OHIO – 2019

Specifications and Contract Documents may be examined and copies obtained at the office of the City Manager, 111 Water Street, Chardon, Ohio.

Each bid and proposal must contain the name and address of every person, firm or corporation interested in same and shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of $2,500 in the form of a certified check, payable to the City of Chardon, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted a Contract pursuant thereto will be entered into and its performance properly secured. The check of the successful bidder will be returned upon proper execution and securing of the contract. The checks of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned after a contract has been awarded and entered into, or upon rejection of all bids.

The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the bid price to provide services to residential customers for one year.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked: Exclusive Residential Refuse Collection and Disposal Bid in the City of Chardon, Ohio – 2019. Each bidder must submit evidence of experience as a single trash hauler in a municipality with a population of 5,000 or more.

All contractors and subcontractors will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio Products, material, services and labor. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.

The City of Chardon reserves the right to accept the lowest and/or best bid, to award or reject sections separately, to delete certain items within any section, to increase or decrease quantities, to waive any informalities or irregularities and/or to reject any and all bids within sixty (60) days after receipt and opening of the bids. The failure to award a contract by ordinance within sixty (60) days after bid opening shall operate as a rejection of all bids, unless the time for awarding a contract is extended by mutual consent of the successful bidder and the Municipality.

Section 9.24 of the Ohio Revised Code prohibits the City of Chardon from awarding a contract to any party against whom an unresolved finding for recovery has been issued by the Auditor of State.

The successful bidder will be required to sign a “Declaration Regarding Material Assistance / Non- Assistance to Terrorist Organization”.
