Geauga County intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency, Office of Community Development, for funding under the FY-2016 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities Program, a federally funded program administered by the State of Ohio. Geauga County is eligible to apply for these categories of funding for FY-2016 providing the County meets applicable program requirements.
A. Allocation Program: The Fiscal Year 2017 Allocation is undetermined at this time. However, the County’s 2016 allocation was $173,000.
B. Critical Infrastructure Program Set Aside
C. Water and Sanitary Sewer Competitive Program
D. Economic Development Program
E. Downtown Revitalization Competitive Program
F. Neighborhood Revitalization Program Set Aside
G. Residential Public Infrastructure Program
H. Community Development Implementation Strategy (CDIS) required outreach to stakeholders, ie City, Villages and Townships
Geauga County is eligible for CDBG funding of approximately $250,000 and $600,000 in Neighborhood Revitalization and Critical Infrastructure Funds. These projects can include: public service, public improvements, recreational activities, street, infrastructure, drainage, water and sewer improvements, demolition of unsafe structures, rehabilitation of neighborhood, rental, and housing rehabilitation, economic development, and counseling activities. The activities must primarily benefit low to moderate income persons, or aid in the prevention of slum and blight or meet an urgent need.
Citizens are encouraged to attend this public hearing on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Chambers at 470 Center Street, Building Four in Chardon for more information on the grant and program requirements. Notice is hereby given that Geauga County Job and Family Services is soliciting quotes for two (2) new vehicles: (1) Compact Sport Utility Vehicle and (1) Compact 7 Passenger Van.
DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF QUOTES: 3:00 P.M. on Friday, March 10, 2017.
Copies of the Request for Quote and vehicle specifications are available in person, Monday – Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. at, or by mail request to, Geauga County Job and Family Services; Attn: P. Reiman; 12480 Ravenwood Drive; PO Box 309; Chardon, Ohio 44024. E-mail requests may be sent to Paul.Reiman@jfs.ohio.gov with “Vehicle RFQ” in the subject line.
All quotes must be received on time and in compliance with the instructions contained in the RFQ. Geauga County Job and Family Services reserves the right to reject any and all quotes and to waive any irregularities in the quote.

ROAD MAINTENANCE MATERIALS
Bainbridge Township
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Bainbridge Township Board of Trustees that the office of the undersigned until 1:00 p.m., March 3, 2017 for furnishing township road maintenance materials. Quantities given are approximate, and the Trustees retain the option of ordering larger or lesser quantities at bid prices as required.
Bidders are required to use Township Bid form obtained from the office of the Fiscal Officer or on the Township’s website at www.Bainbridgetwp.com. All Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked “Sealed Bids for Road Maintenance Materials.” Proposals for the above shall not be combined with any other Bid(s). Bidder may elect to bid on all items listed or any portion thereof. The Township Trustees reserve the right to reject and, or all, bids to accept a primary and an alternate supplier or suppliers and to waive any irregularities. A certified check or bid bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total bid must accompany any proposal for the above items only. Proposals must be valid for 20 days. Bids will be opened at 1:05 p.m. on March 3, 2017 at the Bainbridge Town Hall.

Only ODOT pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this PROJECT. Pre- qualification status must be in force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract.
DOMESTIC STEEL USE REQUIREMENTS AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 153.011 OF THE OHIO REVISED CODE APPLIES TO THIS PROJECT. COPIES OF SECTION 153.011 OF THE REVISED CODE CAN BE OBTAINED FROM ANY OF THE OFFICES OF THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES.
