Ordinance 20-112 Authorizing the Village Administrator, with the Consent and Approval of the Mayor, to Reduce the General Public’s Access to Village Hall and to take such other Steps as may be Necessary to Respond to the Current Public Health Emergency, and Declaring an Emergency.

Ordinance 20-113 Delegating to the Mayor Certain Councilmatic Powers During the Current Public Health Emergency, with Expressed Specific Limitations, in Order to Expedite Specifies Municipal Approvals without Requiring a Council Meeting, and Declaring an Emergency.

Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Board of County Commissioners, 470 Center Street, Building #4, Chardon, Ohio 44024, for the:

CHARDON TWP WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT & SEWERS PROJECT P1404

during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, until 1:45 pm (local time) on April 29, 2020 at which time the bids shall be opened and publicly read at 2:00 pm in the Commissioners Chambers.

Plans and Specifications may be obtained, for a non-refundable fee of: $200.00 per set

from the Geauga County Department of Water Resources, 470 Center Street, Building #3, Chardon, Ohio 44024-1068, from the hours of 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Purchasers wishing to have Plans and Specifications shipped to them must include a prepaid label from UPS or FEDEX account number with the fee. A set of plans and specifications may also be downloaded from the Department of Water Resources’ website at www.gcdwr.org at no charge.

A pre-bid meeting will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Geauga County Offices, 470 Center Street, Building #8 Conference Room, Chardon, Ohio 44024.

Envelopes containing the bid and other required documents shall be sealed and clearly marked “Bid CHARDON TWP WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT AND SEWERS PROJECT, Attention: Clerk, Geauga County Board of Commissioners, 470 Center Street, Building #4, Chardon, Ohio 44024.”

Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond or guaranty in the amount of 100% of the total amount bid, or a certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit in an amount not less than 10% of the total amount bid, as required by R.C. 153.54. The bid bond or guaranty must be submitted as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured.

The bid bond or guaranty shall be issued by an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio and said company shall have local representation. The bond or guaranty shall meet the satisfaction of the County Prosecutor.

The Geauga County Commissioners reserve the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids received or any part thereof.

Terms of payment shall be as described in the bid specifications.
